Watch The Trailer of Asurf Oluseyi’s Intriguing Short Film, ‘A Day With Death’

 

A Day With Death is a short film on the human fear of death written by Breanne Mattson, produced and directed by Asurf Oluseyi. The film stars Tuby Aiyedehin, Judith Audu, Tomiwa Kukoyi, Tunde Talabi, and Linda Joseph. The story throws light on the abnormal or persistent fear of one’s own death or the process of dying, which is referred to as thanatophobia.
It is a story of a cantankerous sixty-five-year-old woman Margaret (Tuby Aiyedehin) who has a few things to do before she goes and Death  (Judith Audu) will just have to hold off. This particular Reaper is a tall young lady whom Margaret quickly nicknames Kulapo. Being the charming lady that she is, Margaret convinces Kulapo to accompany her through the town for one day – tying up “loose ends.” Along the way, they develop a bond…
Asurf Oluseyi,the director and producer of the short film, was recently featured by on the recent Google Africa Connected Campaign across and he has shot several sketches and comedy skits in Nigeria and the UK. This is his first short film, and it was shot in Lagos. A Day With Death will be released on December 21, 2014.
